Wie Reportedly Dating Stanford Basketball Star
By GOLF CHANNEL Newsroom
Every teenage girl’s dream: a date with the ‘Big Man on Campus.’ Well, for Michele Wie it appears that she’s gotten one of the biggest men on campus in Robin Lopez.
As reported by Sports Illustrated, the LPGA star and the 7-foot-1 center, Lopez, who along with his twin-brother Brook took the Cardinal basketball squad into the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament, before falling Friday night to Texas, are officially an ‘item.’
“Robin [Lopez] is dating Stanford's current most famous female coed, golf phenom Michelle Wie, although both have tried to keep things as quiet as possible," an SI article said.
On the professional front, Wie was forced to withdraw from this week's Safeway International due to aggravating a left wrist injury. Her return to competition is up in the air. She has played in only one event thus far this season, finishing 20 strokes behind winner Paula Creamer in the Fields Open in Hawaii.

“I don't know which scenario I find more fascinating: (1) four pages of responses to an article about a golfer whom countless posters claim to care nothing about or (2) the dearth of responses to articles about the very LPGA winners whom these same individuals claim to care sooooo much about. Is the constant temptation to bash this young lady really THAT difficult to resist? Four pages of evidence (and counting, no doubt) are all the proof I need. At any rate, I'm happy for you, Michelle. Here's hoping that you get healthy soon so that you can find the same happiness ON the golf course that you seem to have found off it.”
