I Have the Power

Here are GolfChannel.com’s Power Rankings, a weekly barometer of
the hottest players in the game:
| Rank | Player | Comment | | 1 | Steve
Stricker | He’s
the world’s second-ranked player for a reason and, if the predictions hold, one
of the Tour’s best short game will be key to adjusting to the new grooves in
Florida. | | | 2 | Camilo Villegas
| Following
a pedestrian 2009, the Colombian has been on a tear this season, finishing
third (Match Play), T-8 (Waste Management) and first (Honda). | | | 3 | Lee
Westwood | As
consistent as anyone and historically plays the Florida Swing well. Minus a
missed cut at Abu Dhabi he’s been in the hunt every time he’s teed it up since
November. | | | 4 |
Paul Casey | In six events this year the Englishman hasn’t
finished worse than 27th, has performed in the desert (second at
Match Play) and the tropics (T-4 at Honda) and appears healthy. | | | 5 |
 Ian
Poulter
| Rested
after a long two weeks of triumph (Match Play) and high jinx (Waste Management)
and Doral is just a short spin down the Florida Turnpike from his Orlando home. | | | 6 |

Dustin Johnson
| DJ
should be rested and ready as the Tour swings south to more familiar
surroundings. Still, easily makes this list via his third-place tie and victory
in consecutive weeks. | | | 7 |
 Rory
McIlroy
| Third-round
75 at PGA National seemed out of character for the freakishly consistent
Northern Irishman, but with each start he gets closer to his maiden Tour title. | | | 8 | Phil
Mickelson | OK,
so it wasn’t his best West Coast, but Lefty remains optimistic and plays the
Blue Monster like it’s located in Orange County. Still, he’s close to being off
this list. | | | 9 |
Charl Schwartzel | Like
last week the South African is hanging on the bottom of this list purely off
his consecutive European Tour wins earlier in the year and because not many
others have jumped up to make noise. | | | 10 |
J.B. Holmes | It’s
been a sneaky good couple of months for the bomber as he’s produced three great
finishes – T-3 at Northern Trust, T-2 at Pebble Beach and T-12 at the Honda
Classic. |
