More circumstantial evidence emerged last weekend that Tiger Woods is preparing his return to the PGA Tour sooner rather than later.

Follow continuing coverage on GolfChannel.com, and tune into Golf Central tonight at 6 p.m. ET.

Sources told Golf Channel that Woods’ longtime swing coach Hank Haney was spotted last weekend working with the world No. 1 at Isleworth. According to the source it is as hard as Woods has worked on his swing since well before his November car crash ignited a controversy over his infidelity.

Woods has never played next week’s Transitions Championship near Tampa, Fla., but rumors persist that he could play the unofficial Tavistock Cup March 22-23 at Isleworth followed by the Arnold Palmer Invitational which starts two days later, an event Woods has won six times including the last two years.

Charles Howell III and J.B. Holmes told reporters last week at PGA National that they spotted Woods on the Isleworth practice tee and that his swing looked good, and Jack Nicklaus said he would be surprised if Woods didn’t play the Masters April 8-11.

“I've been very non-committal because it's none of my business,” Nicklaus said. “But playing golf, my guess as a golfer, he's going to probably try to want to (play).”
