“I played on Lee Elder's Team at a Seniors Pro-Am in Hawaii. His Cigar never left his mouth, but it did not mess up his game! I knew I was golfing with history and was honored to be there. He was quiet but dignified. I will never forget that day. ”

“I caddied in the early 60's and we were not allowed on the course except to caddy. I would like to tell my story. Please contact me at 937-623-5419 or email psaunders1@woh.rr.com.”

“Just like baseball and all facets of life, it was a shame that minority golfers had to play the game alone. The redeeming value is that they hung on and made their marks. I am eager to see the Golf Channel's production of Uneven Fairways. ”

“I have read "Uneven Lies" and,as an African-American golfer and former caddie, I felt better about myself after reading about people like Charlie Sifford, Bill Spiller, Teddy Rhodes, etc. I was also sad about the state of Black People in the ranks of professional golf because I know that the problem goes way beyond a lack of interest in the game.”
