Putting Grip for Juniors

Hi! I'm Brad Brewer with TheGolfChannel.com Academy, and for you juniors learning how to putt for the first time,

Hi! I'm Brad Brewer with TheGolfChannel.com Academy, and for you juniors learning how to putt for the first time, we're gonna go through a simple grip that's gonna help you putt better every single time. We're gonna start by taking our left hand and run the thumb right down the shaft like a habit. Keep your index finger pointing out for a moment, then put your right hand on and put your thumb right down the shaft as well. Let your index finger then wrap around the outside. We call this a reverse overlap grip. From here, you have a good feeling of your hands and arms swinging through together, and we'll go ahead and try a putt. So remember, with a good putting grip, it starts by putting in the lifeline of your left hand, thumbs go right down the center of the shaft, your index fingers on the outside. That will put you in the perfect putting position to be able to stroke back and through and make lots of putts.
