John Deere Classic - TPC Deere Run course preview
By GCSAA
This week the PGA Tour returns to TPC Deere Run in East Moline, Ill., for the John Deere Classic. GCSAA Certified Golf Course Superintendent Paul Grogan has the golf course in pristine condition despite the challenges of inconsistent weather leading up to this event with a wet spring, extreme heat and then an unusually cool advance week.
There have been no major changes made to the golf course this year. Grogan has the Kentucky bluegrass rough at four inches and the bentgrass greens rolling 11 feet on the Stimpmeter. TPC Deere Run is a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.
