There are several who won in their teens on the LPGA. Those two you mentioned are just public enemies #1 and #1A to the Wietards of the world.

(Stand by for incoming from the Wietards...)

Wie doesnt have what it takes to win. Paula and Morgan do, MW will win someday but i doubt it will be anytime soon.

Listen if I were 40 yrs younger one of those three would be my goal. Who cares if Michelle hasn't won yet, she is a cutie..

Don't think it is her ability that has kept her back. Everyone says she has tremendous talent, she never got the chance to learn how to win. She has played well this year and might win sooner than later.

Maybe she is NO bloomer. I think she will win a couple tournaments before she quits. I think she might win one next year. I don't think she will ever dominate anything

lwood,

..."she might win sooner than later"...

That's what a lot of Ms. Wie's skeptics find amusing coming from her admirers.

Could you predict something more definite and not quite so vague?

Ad, I don't think IwoodRaDaBeGolfing was boosting Wie, but was just saying it's possible Wie may eventually win something.

Make no mistake, I am no MW admirer. There are a few young players I admire more than MW but the last thing I will ever do is write-off a 20 year old kid. There a ton of things to criticize both she and her camp for in the last 5+ yrs but she is playing very well now and I believe the Solheim Cup experience may prove to be the event she needed to mature and change her career. Only time will tell.

lwood,

Yes, Ms. Wie did match the Solheim Cup record of superstar Gwladys Nocera.

Of course, she failed to qualify for the US Women's Open where she should have medaled, and she missed the cut at the Canadian.

..."only time will tell"...

Thanks for being more definite.

I chuckled when I read your reference to Ms. Wie being a "20 year old kid."

She's a women, for goodness sake, who's been playing tournament golf at the highest level for more than seven years.
