Saci2:

I can't find your post where you ask what my three favorite golf books are. Hopefully you'll see this.

My favorite book by a female instructor: POWER GOLF FOR WOMEN, BY Jane Horn.

IMO, the clearest instruction book on the golf swing: SWING MACHINE GOLF, by Paul Wilson.

Three books that continue to bewilder and fascinate me:
Ben Hogan's FIVE LESSONS
Homer Kelley's THE GOLFING MACHINE
Count Yogi's FIVE SIMPLE STEPS TO PERFECT GOLF

Hi Pickle; glad to hear from you. Knudson's The Natural Golf Swing is still my favorite. I finally tracked down the DVD from Bermuda. Great stuff.

Inner Game of Golf, and Extraordinary Golf. Two of the best books ever written.

Better Golf in Five Minutes by J. Victor East covers it all.

OK, I just read the intro to Extraordinary Golf on Amazon - the great thing about living in LA is I can get any book from the county library delivered to our local library. This one is on its way...

Hi Pickle, the post was under Don Trahan.
Jane Horn's book is very good, you are right. Good pointers on power for women. I don't have Paul Wilson's book, it is that good is it? I'm not a Hogan fan, although I have a few of his, because I don't think he was ever honest about why he advocated what he did. That's just me though. Count Yogi, I have somewhere but I haven't found it in ages. Tell me why you like Wilson's book so much if you don't mind. It's fun to find some of the old books again and have a quick look through. Agree about Homer Kelley. I still have it, still glance through it and hope that Bobby Clampett covered the high points lol. I remember I really enjoyed Nick Price's book also. He really explained the trigger finger. Thanks for your response. Take care

Just noticed what you said about Wilson's book. I know why I didn't buy it, he wanted too much for it. Might consider now that you gave it a good review. I'm trying to think of the name of the book by Dick Beach and someone. The interesting thing about that book was that Beach claimed that every good golfer was on his right side at impact. I'll think of it yet (or find it maybe tomorrow). Did you ever read that one?

Just found it listed on amazon. It's called Golf: The Body, The Mind, The Game. (Beach and Ford)

After years of not wanting to read these books on sports psychology (since I think I already know all there is to know!), I am finding these books really interesting and inspiring.
