“I live near Seattle and have played Chambers Bay six times. It is a terrific course, but I sure would like to play it sometime when the greens really are running more than 7 or 8. The greens are huge and have gigantic mounds and elevation changes. 12 is the largest green I have ever seen. Because of their severity, they keep the greens slow. But they are so slow they are very hard to get used to. If you get a chance, play this golf course, but be prepared for a unique day on the greens.”

“I had a chance to play Chambers Bay last month and I'll be looking forward to seeing how it stands up against the top players. I had a great time, fun, fun, fun. I would suggest that you take the opportunity to play a few rounds now as it will only get pricier as 2015 draws nearer. ”

“The ball can land in the pocket of the flag and stay there. There was no rule to cover this. Currently, by local rule, you place the ball next to the hole.”

“Wouldn't it be nice to know why the pocket flags are causing the USGA to make an amendment to the rules of golf instead of just making that statement?”
