“Seriously, For some time here I have watched everyone sit down and pass judgment on John Daly. I am not some one who doesnt recognize his problems i'm just someone who likes to watch him play. Everyone looks at players on this tour and thinks what great role models these guys are, come on. Not including everyone swinging out there but am pretty sure the only difference between JD and them is he doesnt pretend. I say if the mans got a game let him play. His of course antics should have nothing to do with wether or not he can play against this field of "gentelmen".Or look at it like this, Come on boys and girls maybe even the PGA needs a "bad Boy of Golf". Besides, I have heard some stories from people who have first hand knowledge of how these people conduct themselves when not in front of a camera and i'm sure not all your mothers would approve.”

“For the record I have never been a member of any club. I only play municipal courses and on the rare opportunity a resort course.”

“You don't get to play in the majors (PGA Tour) just because you played there once before. Let him pay some dues back in the minor league which is the Golden Bear, Hooters, Canadian or Gateway Tours. If his game is good he will earn enough money as well as respect to get opportunities to play in bigger events. He has been given more than enough opportunities to show his character and he failed every time. You have to earn your way onto the PGA Tour by your play, it's not a right that you automatically get to play there. It diminishes the quality of the tour and the game if you just just let some hack play because it creates interest or sells a few extra tickets. ”

“What is the big deal with Stenson stripping down to his boxers to hit a shot from the water. For some odd reason he didn't have a rainsuit in his golf bag and it was early in the round. You see more skin on any beach in Miami. There are dozens of players who do not have tour status that would like to play in tournaments. Why does Daly get the most attention. He has been given numerous chances to prove he can redeem himself personally as well as professionally. Daly's life is his own undoing, there is nobody to blame but himself. At some point in time you have to give him some tough love and let go of the Daly project. News flash here, he doesn't have the work ethic to compete with the players of today and even if he did, there is no reason to think he can make a cut. The constant enabling of Daly by fans has contributed to him thinking that if he just shows enough contrition he will get another chance. Let him pay his own entry fee and play on the Golden Bear or Gateway tour. ”

“I read all this talk about how everyone else in the PGA is a saint compared to Daly. Fact is no really knows what goes on with some of these players and their private lives. I bet there are more than a few skeletons in a few closets. Patch”
