Bio Update: Since leaving The Big Break III: Ladies Only, Cindy has enjoyed a considerable amount of success on the Legends Tour (Champions Tour of the LPGA) finishing second on the 2005 money list.  Along with playing competitively, she continues to keep a full-time teaching schedule, has been named a top-50 teaching professional by Golf for Women magazine, won LPGA Player of the Year and Teacher of the Year for the Northeast, and has been nominated to Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Teachers List.  She and her husband, Allen, conduct corporate, collegiate and individual seminars on improving the mental and physical aspects of golf.   She gives her appearance on The Big Break III all the credit for her newfound ability to compete under pressure, and says that it is the "best thing she's ever done." Cindy found overwhelmingly positive responses by the many people she has run into and from e-mails telling her what an inspiration she has been.

The Big Break III Bio: No stranger to the world of professional golf, Cindy looked to The Big Break III as a “personal mission” to challenge her both mentally and physically, and a way to return to the competitive side of golf.  Following a number of personal challenges, Cindy had resigned herself to the life of a teaching professional and had given up on ever playing on tour again.  A veteran of five U.S. Opens (1976-1980), her life had centered around the sport.  After growing up in a home with golfing parents, she first took lessons at the age of 15.  An All-American at the University of Miami, Cindy led her team to the NCAA Championship title in both her junior and senior year, then spent three years as a member of the LPGA Tour (played under name Cindy Kessler). Perhaps the toughest competition she ever faced was helping her family through the anguish of her husband’s (former PGA TOUR player Allen Miller) alcoholism and depression.  Now together for over 25 years, the Millers are the only married couple in the world to have played on four major tours – PGA, LPGA, Champions and Women’s Legends Tour.  Cindy cites JoAnne Carner as her hero due to Carner’s competitive instinct, tenacity and desire to give back to others in need. The “mom” of the group, Cindy impressed her fellow contestants with her consistency and perseverance.

The Big Break III Results: Cindy was pleased with how she performed on the show, losing in the penultimate episode.
